Caetano Veloso's self-titled album, released in 1968, is a landmark in the history of Brazilian music. Amidst a military dictatorship, Veloso defied norms by blending samba with rock, delivering satirical lyrics and hypnotic rhythms.
A pioneer of tropicália, the album transcends musical and political boundaries, showcasing Veloso's creativity and resistance in the face of oppression. With tracks like "Tropicália" and "Não Identificado", he creates captivating sonic landscapes.
Welcomed with enthusiasm despite controversies, the album remains a timeless classic.
