Buried & Irretrievable
Euphoria Bound hears Shackleton return to rude rudiments, as the UK bass legend's trademark ritual trance and psychic post-dubstep umbrella sound is revisited with sadistic glee. Ten pagan movements move in symphonic succession; a louring libretto advocating dark pineal explosions and burnt truth. 'Crushing Realities' leads as the kind of applewood bad trip many sub-huggers revere, where cleverly sampled, Omnisphere-esque textures prove ripe for the idolatrous mangling. Further unseemly god-objects include 'The Soul Of Everything', 'Philistine Wavelength' and 'Buried And Irretrievable', a divine maledictory streak defining this slowly-paced wilderness of a club record.
