Tracklist
The fact that public desire for Pulp's music has never waned tells you this is a band that have struck pop perfection. They split up for about 15 years (2002-2011) and had a comeback that was one of the most frenzied in British rock history. Despite having a slew of hits that could keep them on the road indefinitely without the need to record anything new, the Sheffield band have kept things fresh. Their live sets mix in the likes of 'Disco 2000', 'Mis-Shapes' and 'Common People' with new material that's more akin to Jarvis Cockers' solo project Jarv Is. Tracks such as 'Spike Island' and 'A Sunset' from their 2025 album More add a layer of sophistication. It brings their set up into an epic experimental folk-tinged area of brilliance and pays special attention to texture, harmony and surprising genre juxtapositions. Yes, the indie disco numbers are fun, but there's magic in the newer material that makes Pulp elder statesmen of a different class
