Animal

Raw drum science has never sounded better than on 'Animal', a four-tracker from Chicago producer Toddsonic33 that underlines his quality. The record leans hard into the Windy City's jackin' house lineage by pairing rugged machine rhythms with unmistakable soul. 'Animal' sets the tone with loose, swinging percussion, while guest appearances from fellow Chicago artists Mark Grusane and Darryn Jones add extra character. The focus stays on drums here with groove and attitude rising up without undue polish or excessive details. It is direct, physical club music built for serious dancers who appreciate real house craft.
