Few career shifts feel as unlikely as Jessie Ware's move from newsroom journalist to chart-topping pop star. Superbloom captures that long arc with a sense of release that finds her trading early reticence for something fuller and more playful. 'Mr Valentine' fizzes with wiry tension, while 'Ride' leans into a sly, teasing swagger. There is tenderness too here as 'Summers' pares everything back to a hush, reflecting on time and family with real honesty. Elsewhere, 'Automatic' surges forward with a restless drive. This is a record that balances escapism with reflection and confirms Ware's instinct for pop that lingers well beyond the playtime.
