The Maze
Longtime Berlin resident and Detroit techno sorcerer Jeff Mills opens another cabinet from the Axis Expressionist series, where the machines appear less interested in dancing and more inclined to ponder existence over a glass of something cosmic.'Blow It Off (What Tongue You Speak?)' jitters and mutters like a synthesiser having an intellectual disagreement. 'Aquarius' floats through starry pads and dry percussion, while 'The Maze' wanders about in looping corridors, politely refusing to reveal the exit.
